are one of the core loot drops in Diablo 3 alongside armor. The game is a hunt for the best gear, so finding and crafting the best weapons is the way to go.
Weapons fit into two inventory slots: 1-Hand and Off-Hand. Some Weapons that are 2-Handed require both slots, and some characters can dual-wield two 1-handed weapons, but otherwise the Off-Hand is reserved for support items.
Since almost every item is unique, and even items with the exact same name can have different stats, here's a breakdown of the different types of Weapons available in Diablo 3.
There are a total of three different types of weapons which one can wield alongside or without off-hands:

Looking to play a monk in Season 11? Want to know which builds will help you clear greater rifts the fastest but don't want to have to sort through a bunch of them? Look no further than our guide on the best Diablo 3monk builds this season!
The ranking of these builds is based on Rhykker's tier list for season 11. As balance changes are made and more is learned about the Necromancer, the builds might go up or down a few pegs on the tier list -- but ultimately, they'll be the best monk builds this season (in the opinion of one of the community's most respected players).
Raiment Duo-Gen Monk Build
The Raiment Duo-Gen build is the best monk build this season. It places in A-tier and comes in at the fifth best build for all classes this season, according to Rhykker. It is great for solo play and is up there for group DPS.
Keep in mind, though, that this is a fragile build -- so you will need to be mobile to avoid dying and immobile to get the bonuses from your neck/ring set.
In order to complete this build, you will need the following:
Diablo 3 Little Rogue Farming Guide
You will want the following items in your Kanai's Cube:
DKTheos of DiabloFan recommends the following Paragon priorities for Raiment Duo-Gen builds:
This is the monk build that Rhykker suggests for Raiment Duo-Gen, but if you don't have all the necessary pieces, DKTheos swaps out the shoulders with Lefebvre's Soliloquy, the amulet with a Hellfire Amulet, the waist with String of Ears or Goldwrap, and recommends both Unity and Stone of Jordan over Convention of Elements.
Inna EP Monk Build
This is Rhykker's second highest ranking monk build for this season. He places it in the B-tier -- but it is ranked 6, so it's fairly close to the Raiment Duo-Gen monk build. It utilizes the Inna set and Exploding Palm with the Impending Doom rune. Inna's will give you some sweet buffs to both your Mystic Allies and your Mantras, allowing you to use all of them simultaneously. Your allies will be doubled because of the boots! So many allies! You'll have more allies than the current political administration.
In order to successfully pull this build off, you will have to equip:
Your Kanai's Cube should be like this:
YouTube's Quin69 recommends the following Paragon priorites for an Inna's EP build:
Note: Some players, like Reddit's How2Post in this thread for a returning player on the Monk subreddit, recommend removing area damage Paragon points if you're playing support in a group.
Inna's is high in demand for group play in the top of the leaderboards in general -- and as of the writing of this monk build guide, one of the top 4-man team monk players on the leaderboards uses a similar Inna's build with a few variations. S/he uses Leoric's Crown instead of Inna's Radiance, a Hellfire Amulet, an Occulus Ring with Esoteric Alteration and an Obsidian Ring of the Zodiac with Gem of the Efficacious Toxin, Illusory Boots, and dual wields the Slanderer and Little Rogue.
LTK LoN Monk Build
This is one of the two Lashing Tail Kick monk builds in this guide and it is tied with its counterpart for 10 in D-tier on Rhykker's Diablo 3 tier list. Most players who use this build use it for soloing. It's a solid pushing build, so if you're looking to farm greater rifts without a group, this is a good option for you this season.
This monk build does some serious fire damage with Cindercoat and Magefist's bonuses matching LTK's Vulture Claw Kick rune. Not only that, but the LTK itself is amplified significantly by Scarbringer, Gyana Na Kashu, and Rivera Dancers. If you have ancient versions of these items, your ring set will give you 100% damage and give you a nice bit of damage reduction as well.
To complete this bad boy of a build, you will need:
Make your Kanai's Cube do that wild thing it does with these sons of guns:
Your Paragon points should be arranged in this order for this monk build, as per IcyVeins' suggestions:
Sunwuko LTK
If the LoN LTK monk build wasn't your flavor, check out this variation. Rhykker places this in D-Tier, and it's tied with the LoN LTK and a few other builds for the tenth best this season.
You'll find some survivability in this monk build in the bonuses allotted by the Sunwuko set. Your Sweeping Wind will halve the damage you take while spawning decoys to take damage for you -- and on top of that, it synergizes wonderfully with your Scarbringer, Rivera Dancers, and Gyana Na Kashu to ensure that your LTKs do insane amounts of damage. You'll also keep your spirit up by utilizing your Blinding Flash with the effect of the Laws of Seph from your Cube.
This monk build requires:
Set your Kanai's Cube up like so:
For this monk build, your Paragon priorities are, according to DiabloFan's IveGottenSoLucky:
Inna/Uliana Monk Build
Lastly for this season, Rhykker places this monk build in his F-tier builds that don't have a numerical ranking. Like the builds in D-tier, it's still one of the best builds in the game -- but if you're looking for pure GR clearing potential, you will want to use Raiment's or the other Inna's build.
Rhykker recommends this mostly if you're a Seven Sided Strike fan or are still building up your full Inna's set for the build above. Seven Sided Strike is amplified by the 4-set bonus you get from the three Uliana's pieces, plus Ring of Royal Grandeur as well as Lion's Claw's additional seven strikes. Uliana's also gives you a nice extra Exploding Palm every third spirit gen attack. Your Exploding Palm will do even more damage thanks to the full 6-set bonuses you get from the 4-armor pieces and Two-Handed Inna's weapon plus Ring of Royal Grandeur.
This monk build needs the following pieces:
Your Kanai's Cube should have the following items:
According to DiabloFan poster IveGottenSoLucky, the stat priorities for a similar Inna's/Uliana's build are:

I just got an ancient slanderer and now I'm looking to get any little rogue to complete the set for my IK HOTA barb.
Is it more efficient to do regular t13 rifts for DB to roll swords or to just cruise through GRs for the guaranteed legendaries at the end and more shards to gamble? I can do gr65 and t13 at about the same speed solo.
I think he loot from GRs is too random. T13 provides you with both random loot and 1/16 chance for getting the Little Rogue every time you upgrade a rare sword. Don't salvage Devil's Tongue if you find it, it's perfect for occasional gold farming. Do T13s for DBs and bounties for blue and white mats, convert them to yellow mats if necessary. You'll quickly get your sword this way which you can later reforge to ancient one. Then you may focus on GRS and Kadala to get ancient armor pieces.
@Dreyda, what's your build now?
I got my Charge Barb set up and it's very efficient at speed farming T13 and GR up to 70 under 3 min. And I have dropped several Slanderer and Little Rogue to the point I have just kept 2 ancient versions of each.. RNG RNG. My opinion is just get your speed farming build set up, then a combination of GR and T13 for keys basically (and gold, just pair Avarice Band + Boon of the Hoarder), you will gets materials, Blood shards, etc. @Dreyda, what's your build now? I was using IK/BK Hammer/Whirlwind build for farming and it was actually really fun. Could move from elite pack to elite pack with whirlwind really fast and then nuke the elites down with HOTA. I finally just cubed a decent-ish Little Rogue a couple hours ago, so now I'm pushing a little higher GRs. Just dumped Boon of BK for Rampage as well, so that should help my damage and toughness quite a bit I'm hoping!
Yeah well, good luck farming :D
I've been trying to get an ancient little rogue to drop for several weeks now to no avail. I gamble all my shards on 1h swords too and kadala had the audacity to drop an ancient slanderer worse rolled than I already have.
Or get a non ancient and reforge it. The reforge price is very high though..
Hi,
best way is to upgrade yellow swords to legendaries, with luck you get an ancient one. Or you are unlucky, like me, and have to reroll non-ancient versions several times to get an ancient version. I had to do 22 rerolls on one IP sword and 27 rerolls on the other one to get both weapons as Ancients. Yes, that's 2,450 Forgotten Souls and 245 Bounty mats each..
That was unlucky. I have one dropped (pretty good stats) and the other took me a few rerolls. Had only a few hundred souls so I was hoping for that.
If you dont have one, farm death breath and then do bounties to get mats. Then try to craft them from cube. If you have one you can either keep it or reroll it to get an ancient one. I was lucky this season my first drop was an ancient rouge.
Side question : what are the desirable stats on both blades?
Hi,
high damage range, IAS and AD are the stats to go for. Personally, I think, you can also go with Vit instead of IAS if you struggle to survive. I had to roll AD on both of them, no luck with IAS. As they were SO expensive for me, I did not want to burn more mats to get an ideally rolled ancient one. Now, I'm hoping to find them 'on the road' ;-). Here's my HotA Barb, if you want to take a look: https://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Barahir-2600/hero/8956976 Cleared GR90 in ~9 min. Did not have the best of GRs on that run and turned to my other chars after clearing the GR90. I think, I might be able to reach GR100 in a good rift.
I would not go crazy about IAS on weapons fellas, just my opinion ofcourse. AD is a must, but than I'd take 10% damage or elite damage over IAS. Going attack speed way requires more than just attack speed on weapons, and if you just look on the numbers alone, getting one BP higher on attack speed is always less damage gain than straight 10% damage.
Reread attack speed section of HoTA guide, it's all broke down there.
The simple answer to farming ancients the most efficient way is reforges. It takes about an hour and a half to do seven t13 bounty games. This almost always will net you an ancient reforge. This is how I farmed my ancients so I could augment.
1hr 30 min = 20 reforge = ancient item
Another side question : in which builds the Istvan's blades are BiS?
Wastes-WW-Zodiac-Lightning variant-BIS
They can be used in a MotE-SS-EQ version. Raekor 6 Hota or SS version, farming only, marginal. there are better choices here. Stat rolls may be different for each different version. So they can work with all 4 sets, in some form or fashion, and be viable for either fun, farming speed builds, or pushing.
I lucked out and found a Little Rogue immediately after finding an ancient Slanderer.. That was after I farmed rifts for a while, but once I got the one I got the other.
I'm currently at torment 9 and trying to farm little rogue and slanderer as well. !@#$ing hard to get! lol
https://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Dir3nGr3y-6381/hero/96739762 I'm currently at torment 9 and trying to farm little rogue and slanderer as well. !@#$ing hard to get! lol I advise you to concentrate on getting to t13 first: - get Band of Might by gamling at Kadala with 1lev Barb, full shards stack is probably enough - cube it - wear Immortal King's belt, get it by converting set items/upgrading rares, a few tries will probably enough - change Ignore Pain to Furious Charge - Merciless Assault All these things should take you to t13 in no time, literally minutes. By farming t9 you just waste your time.
monk has little rogue within its smart loot system, so for mindless farming style, go with monk
otherwise, i d recommend gamble ur shards on 1handers and upgrade those rares into legendaries. rinse and repeat couple of times, and if u have the luxury to invest bounty mats, rerolling it until u get the desirable stats is the fastest way.
